NFL Recent Player News
|5/21/2018||Richie Incognito, Buf, G|
|The Bills have released Incognito from the reserve/retired list, making him a free agent.
Analysis: Incognito is now able to resume his career with another team if he so chooses, and the move ends a strange two-month saga between the Bills and the 12-year veteran. Incognito abruptly retired in March, not long after accepting a pay cut, and has since sent mixed signals about possibly returning. Though he turns 35 in July, he still played at a high level last season.
|5/18/2018||Jamar Taylor, Ari, CB|
|The Browns and Cardinals have agreed to a trade that will send Taylor to Arizona in exchange for a 2020 sixth-round pick.
Analysis: Taylor started 29 games for the Browns over the last two seasons but was made expendable by the offseason additions of Travis Carrie, E.J. Gaines and No. 4 overall draft pick Denzel Ward. The five-year veteran fills a clear need in Arizona, which was lacking a proven starting cornerback to play opposite Patrick Peterson.
|5/18/2018||Randy Gregory, Dal, DE|
|Gregory, suspended for all the 2017 season for a drug policy violation, will apply to the NFL for reinstatement.
Analysis: A second-round pick of the 2015 draft, Gregory has played in just 14 games in three seasons while being suspended three times for substance abuse infractions, though NFL.com reported this week that he just completed a six-week stint in drug rehab. The 25-year-old has never lacked talent and theoretically could make an impact on Dallas' defense if he's able to keep his head on straight.
|5/9/2018||Matt Jones, Phi, RB|
|The Eagles have signed Jones to a two-year contract.
Analysis: A third-round pick of the Redskins in 2015, Jones rushed for 950 yards and six touchdowns over his first two seasons but was plagued by ball-security issues that led to his release prior to the 2017 campaign. He spent last season with the Colts, but had just five carries and was released earlier this month.
|5/8/2018||Alvin Kamara, NO, RB|
|Mark Ingram has been tagged with a four-game PED suspension.
Analysis: Obviously, this is huge news as Kamara will likely get a bulk of the touches through the first four games. Adjust your draft strategy accordingly.
|5/8/2018||Mark Ingram, NO, RB|
|Ingram was suspended four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the NFL announced Tuesday.
Analysis: Ingram, who set career highs by rushing for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, will not be eligible to play until Oct. 8 against the Redskins.
